Hourly pay rate: $19.00 - $20.00 Depending on Experience
Schedule: 6:30 am - 3:00 pm. Need to be available for overtime and on weekends as needed
Location Information
- Located on the Tennessee River, the Decatur River Port features 212,500 sq. ft. of warehouse space. This Alabama facility primarily handles bulk and breakbulk commodities and is rail-served by Norfolk Southern.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment required in this position.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on equipment.
- Regularly communicate via 2-way radio with Supervisors, Team Members and customers.
- Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Follow written Dual verification procedures on all material movements.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school education or general education (GED)
- Must be 18 years or older
- 1 or more year(s) related experience preferred but not required
- Applicant must pass the General SOP testing, and Heavy Equipment function test along with Team Member demonstration checklist.
- Must be able to pass and or obtain all reporting, testing, and certifications as required for this position.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Learn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgment.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and interact appropriately with others.
- Ability to work in all types of weather.
- Ability to work the scheduled shifts required for the position and/ or overtime as needed.
- Maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.
