Job Summary

Location: 14035 Industrial Rd., Houston, TX 77015

The Electrician installs, maintains, tests, and repairs electrical systems and equipment while ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. The Electrician has strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on electrical experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform electrical work in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA standards, NFPA 70E, and applicable local and municipal codes 
• Identify and diagnose electrical problems involving systems, equipment, and components. Use appropriate test equipment, such as multimeters, megohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers, to identify the cause of failures and complete necessary repairs 
• Lay out, assemble, install, and test electrical wiring, conduit, fixtures, control panels, transformers, and distribution equipment. Apply knowledge of electrical loads, breaker sizing, grounding, and surge protection to ensure safe and reliable installations 
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings to accurately complete electrical installations and projects. Identify electrical symbols, circuit layouts, equipment locations, and installation requirements  
• Measure, bend, thread, and install EMT, rigid, and PVC conduit. Pull and terminate feeder cables, branch circuits, and low-voltage wiring as required 
• Follow established safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and required personal protective equipment (PPE). Identify potential electrical hazards and take appropriate steps to prevent injuries and equipment damage 
• Safely handle materials and equipment weighing up to 80 lbs and work for extended periods while using ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts 
• Assist with training and mentoring electrical apprentices and provide direction on job-site tasks. Monitor work to ensure installations meet quality, safety, and code requirements 
• Perform continuity, voltage, current, and insulation resistance testing to verify that electrical systems and equipment are operating properly and are safe for energization 
• Performs other duties or ad-hoc projects as assigned by leadership 

Qualifications

• Must possess valid driver’s license and be insurable by company insurance provider to drive and operate company vehicles and equipment as necessary 
• Minimum of 4–5 years of progressive electrical experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings 
• Must hold and maintain a current Journeyman Electrician license issued by the applicable state or local licensing authority 
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid TWIC card 
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred but not required 

Education

Must be 18 years of age or older with High School or GED equivalent
