Starting Pay Rate: $28.98 per hour
After Six Months: $32.20 per hour
Schedule: 4 days on, 3 days off, rotating day/night shift. Full-time, hours subject to the train offload schedule.

Must obtain a TWIC card prior to employment for this position

Job Summary

The Unloader is responsible for safely and efficiently operating equipment to inspect, prepare, and transfer products between railcars and facilities in all weather conditions. This role ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards while supporting team and customer goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

•Communicate daily work plans and safety instructions to crew members; ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently
•Operate and maintain pumps, compressors, valves, engines, and related equipment in accordance with company and regulatory standards
• Inspect, seal, and prepare railcars and equipment for product transfer, including performing structural inspections
•Connecting and disconnecting 4-inch offloading hoses
•Monitor and document operations, inspections, and maintenance activities accurately
• Ensure compliance with all Watco safety, environmental, and “Customer First” principles
•Work safely in all weather conditions and adapt to various shifts as required
•Utilize hand tools to perform job duties safely and effectively
• Maintain work areas through general upkeep tasks such as snow and weed removal

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to pass and/or obtain all reporting, testing, and certifications as required for this position and location. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Strong understanding of safety procedures and ability to follow regulatory and company standards
Knowledge of densitometers, mechanical equipment, hydraulic systems, and basic hand tools—including wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, and measuring instruments—is preferred but not required
Physical fitness and agility to work in all weather conditions, climb on/under railcars, and handle tools and equipment
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including day and night shifts, with availability for overtime, weekends, and holidays as required by business needs
Effective communication and teamwork skills to coordinate tasks and convey instructions clearly
Ability to pass training and required testing
Valid Driver’s License, preferred
