Mule Driver 

• Yard tractor/UTR is equipped with dash mounted gear selector; right accelerator foot pedal and left brake pedal. 

• Dashboard is equipped with running light buttons. § Must be able to turn head toward rear when in reverse. 

• Must wear seatbelt at all times. 

YARD TRACTOR 

• Completes visual safety inspection of Yard Tractor and reports any damages or needed repairs to head mechanic. 

• Climbs steps to reach chassis platform to bend at waist to attach Glad Hands cables to chassis. 

• Hooks and unhooks safety chains possibly on mafi trailers. 

• Obtains instructions from Superintendent and Clerks regarding work plan. 

• Verbally communicates as needed. 

Required Safety Gear must be worn at all times to include: Safety vest, safety glasses, steeled-toe shoes, and hard hats must be worn on terminal or in yard.
