Job Summary
Pay: $23 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: 14035 Industiral Rd., Houston, TX 77015
The Supply Clerk will play a key role in supporting the Facilities team and will be responsible for receiving deliveries and checking against orders. The Supply Clerk will prepapre transfer documents and receipts, monitor invetories and prepare requisitions to restock items along with prepare items for shipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain contract and purchasing files for auditing purposes and for forecasting pricing trends for developing future purchasing plans
• Supervise supplied when they arrive at the warehouse
• Ensure the items received are not damanged
• Prepare a proper catalog for items in the Supply cage
• Implement and manage supply processes for accurately overseeing and maintaining inventory of select expendable and consumable items in the warehouse
• Organize warehouse in a manner that supports supply hub distribution
• Inventory Supply cage weekly. Set up reoder/replenish point on all items stored. Identify any inventory imbalances
• Ensure that invoices are processed and filed in a timely manner. Report all supply activities to higher management
• Ensure operational standards and processes are understood and reinforced at all levels
• Supervise the Watco Environmental Compliance Program
• Operates trucks and forklifts as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to pass and/or obtain all reporting, testing, and certifications as required for this position and location. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Operations, Logistics, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Experience with purchase ordering, inventory control, and related operational workflows
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, including data entry and spreadsheet creation for tracking and analysis
• Skilled in customer service, supporting both current and prospective customers
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, invoices, expense reports, and procedure manuals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing routine reports, presenting information clearly, and speaking effectively before groups
• Competent in basic shop math, including calculating area, circumference, length, and volume
• Experience in operating trucks and forklifts to move high-volume product safely and efficiently
• Able to ligt up to 50 lbs as needed
• Valid Driver's license required
• Valid TWIC card or ability to obtain valid TWIC card upon hire
