Job Summary

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 A.M. - 2:30 P.M.
Starting Pay: $70,000 - $75,000
Location: 14035 Industrial Rd., Houston, Texas 77015

The Track Maintenance Manager will oversee the inspection, maintenance, and repair of track infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient rail operations. This role requires leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining compliance with federal and company regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage daily track maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and upgrades
• Direct, mentor and support maintenance crews to ensure productivity, quality workmanship, and adherence to safety expectation
• Enforce compliance with FRA regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
• Conduct and supervise track inspections to identify potential issues and coordinate corrective actions
• Plan and manage budgets, allocate resources, and coordinate material and equipment usage for track projects
• Lead track-related emergency repairs to restore operations promptly
• Work with operations and other departments to support track efficiency and safety
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to pass and/or obtain all reporting, testing, and certifications as required for this position and location. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Minimum of 5 years in track maintenance or railroad operations
• Prior leadership experience preferred Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks
• Valid Driver License required
• Transportation Worker Identification Card, TWIC (Current, or ability to obtain and maintain is required)
• FRA Track Inspector certification preferred
• Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred

Education

Must be 18 years of age or older with High School or GED equivalent
Associate’s degree preferred in trade/craft/industry certification, industrial technology, or a related field preferred
