Job Summary

The Location Manager coordinates rail activities among Watco departments and the co-located Customer. This role is responsible for achieving performance goals with a focus on safety, efficiency, and cost control.Key duties include managing annual operating budgets, monitoring expenses, maintaining market awareness to drive revenue growth and customer satisfaction. Supervisory duties include the selection, training, and performance management of on-site Team Members.This Location Manager description is general and illustrative of the type of duties required for this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage, direct, and provide insight and follow-up on all aspects of the railroad operation
• Coordinate daily operations with the co-located Customer
• Establish performance goals and quality standards while monitoring all facets of the railroad to ensure profitability
• Maintain sufficient experience and equivalent working knowledge of railroad operations
• Manage and ensure positive relationships with all Customers, Team Members, support teams, Class I partners, and other Watco affiliates
• Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed and administered fairly and equitably

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to pass and/or obtain all reporting, testing, and certifications as required by this and location. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
• Must possess valid driver’s license and be insurable by company insurance provider to drive and operate company vehicles and equipment as necessary
