Job Summary

Starting Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

As a Railcar Repairman based in Neodesha, KS, you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety, reliability, and compliance of railcars in alignment with FRA and AAR regulations. Your expertise in inspection, maintenance, and repair will directly impact operational efficiency and safety in our rail operations. This position requires a hands-on approach, technical precision, and effective communication with various teams to manage derailments and other repair activities timely and accurately.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Proficient in using a cutting torch in all positions without causing damage to adjoining parts; successfully completed 5F welding qualification test for pipe 
• Ensure compliance with all federal requirements, company guidelines, and safety regulations while performing duties 
• Reads and interprets blueprints accurately 
• Performs repairs on both foreign and fleet vehicles 
• Adheres to FRA and AAR regulations when conducting car repairs 
• Maintains accurate records of all repairs performed 
• Operates mobile cranes, wheel trucks, and forklifts safely and effectively 
• Collaborates with other departments during derailment site operations 
• Perform additional duties as assigned
