Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Two-Way Radio Professional to join our team. This role is primarily focused on the installation, maintenance, and repair of radio communication systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality service to our customers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and test two-way radio communication systems and related equipment.
  • Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure system performance and reliability.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and performance testing on equipment.
  • Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and equipment inventory.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide technical support and recommendations to customers regarding equipment performance and system improvements.
  • Stay informed on industry standards, technology trends, and new equipment capabilities.
  • Travel to customer sites as required (approximately 10–30%).

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Two-Way Radio Technician or in a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of two-way radio communication systems and equipment (Motorola, Kenwood, Icom, etc.).
  • Proficiency with tools, diagnostic equipment, and software used in installation and repair.
  • Experience with fiber splicing, low-voltage systems, or electrical work preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers and team members.
  • Willingness to travel regionally up to 30%.

 

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training, trade school, or certifications in electronics, radio communications, or related fields preferred.
  • BICSI, NICET, or Fiber Optic certifications are a plus.
