Hourly pay rate: $18.00 to $20.00

Schedule: 7 AM - 3 PM, M-F, available to work weekends and OT as needed

 

General Purpose

 

The Crafton Transload Terminal (TBT) is a secure facility that offers railcar and trailer containment areas, paved outdoor laydown storage, and bonded track. As a laborer, you will be joining a well-established team, at a growing company, where you will learn to operate liquid storage tanks and their corresponding components. There are many duties as an operator; Railcar loading/unloading, Tank Truck loading/unloading, General Maintenance, and any additional duties assigned.

 

Position Description

 

  • Read and understand all standard operating procedures as well as safety requirements for individual tasks

  • When assigned to the Railcar loading/unloading, the Laborer will use attention to detail to check and open railcars, and open or close associated valves per approved procedure.

  • When assigned to the Tank Truck loading/unloading, the operator will weigh in the vehicle, complete pre-load documentation, spot the tractor-trailer under the desired discharge station, transfer liquid until the desired quantity has been discharged, weigh out the vehicle, and complete post-load documentation.

  • When assigned to the General Maintenance, Laborer will complete all assigned work orders, and notify any asset deviations to management immediately.

  • Complete all applicable documentation, recordkeeping, and daily inventory.

  • Participate in safety briefings, job briefings, and any other pass-on information from team members, management or customers.

  • Other duties as assigned

             

Skills, Abilities & Requirements

 

  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as, take on

  • additional job responsibilities as needed or assigned.

  • Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance.

  • Ability to work outside the majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions.

  • Shift flexibility required; ability to work days, nights, and weekends when necessary.

  • Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Working knowledge of Watco Safety and Operating principles.

  • Follow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule.

  • Read, write, and communicate in English & understand basic math.

  • Learn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgment.

  • Transfer liquids - from railcars, trucks, and barges/boats utilizing safe operating procedures.

  • Complete all applicable documentation, recordkeeping, and daily inventory.

  • Operate in a manner where SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT are of the highest importance.

  • Climb onto the top and underneath railcars to inspect and seal railcars using a checklist.

  • Perform structural inspections as required.

  • Prepare equipment for product transfer.

  • Start, stop, and operate engines/pumps within defined operating parameters.

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver's license

  • Machine, Tools, Special Equipment, Personal Protective Equipment Used

  • Required to wear all Personal Protective Equipment including, but not limited to FR uniform, safety-toed boots, eye protection, hard hat, gloves, etc.

  • Operate forklift, man-lift, front-end loader/backhoe, and power tools and hand tools.

 

Physical Requirements

 

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds alone, twist, climb, etc. Must be able to talk and hear well enough to communicate with all Team Members, vendors, and customers 100% of the time.
