Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for supporting the quality assurance program for a specified mechanical services location. The Quality Assurance Manager implements and maintains processes in accordance with quality assurance policies and procedures, Association of American Railroads manual of standards and recommended practices, and other applicable regulatory rules and technical standards. The Quality Assurance Manager is also accountable to achieve targets established for customer satisfaction and profitability by improving quality and service delivery.The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for creating, reviewing, analyzing, accepting, or rejecting, as applicable, reports for nonconformance data with a focus on continuous improvement. The Quality Assurance Manager must participate in Association of American Railroads, Federal Railroad Administration, customer and internal quality assurance facility audits and certification events.This Quality Assurance Manager description is general and illustrative of the type of duties required for this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports company and site goals and objectives
• Ensure quality assurance, update, implementation, and support at the facility 
• Supports site implementation, oversight, and management of the quality assurance program
• Leads internal audits, external (regulatory and customer) audits and customer site visits 
• Evaluating quality workload demands to determine adequate resource allocation
• Ensures process nonconformances documentation  
• Analyzes process nonconformance data with a goal of identifying continuous improvement opportunities 
• Communicates quality improvement opportunities to site production management, and partners with production management in leading changes to improve overall results 
• Completes and coordinates daily activities for inspections 
• Ensures adherence to company and regulatory safety policies and procedures 
• Contributes to the overall performance of site safety, quality, and profitability 
• Manages in-process inspection and final inspection audits to ensure compliance
• Facilitates root cause analysis and corrective action processes with operations team  
• Identifies improvement opportunities for procedures and best practices, and communicates recommendations to the leadership team
• Maintains customer regulatory and company standards, specifications, and instructions
• Evaluates and coordinates quality training needs with the leadership team
