Job Summary
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading hub associates and/or temp workers in warehouse operations and activities including the receiving, sorting, and scanning inbound freight. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring procedures and operations increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide leadership to hub associates
• Supervise hub associates and/or temp workers
• Manage staffing schedules of associates and/or temp workers based on volume projections to help meet specific metric related goals
• Organize stocks and maintain inventors
• Inspect products for defects and damages
• Examine incoming freight
• Receive, unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately
• Oversee the sort process to ensure it is done in an efficient manner
• Ensure team abides by all company safety and hygiene regulations
• Collaborate with day shift transportation team
• Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
• Keep warehouse clean and organized daily mentation of and compliance with the company safety plan, including drug and alcohol
• Other duties as necessary

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to pass and/or obtain all reporting, testing, and certifications as required for this position and location. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Proficiency in inventory software, database, and systems
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Current forklift license or ability to obtain one
