Salary Range: $40,500 - $45,500
This is a 3rd shift position.
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading a team in warehouse operations and activities including the receiving, storing, picking & scanning of orders. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Description
- Demonstrate predictable, reliable, and timely attendance.
- Follow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
- Read, write, and communicate in English & understand basic math.
- Learn from directions, observations, and mistakes and apply procedures using good judgment.
- Working knowledge of Watco Safety and Operating principles
- Work independently or as part of a team and interact appropriately with others.
- Possess a commitment to customer service, rigorous attention to detail and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Responsible for interacting with Customers and their representatives to provide coordination and information to inquiries regarding products and services.
- Using a motorized forklift, unload inbound linehaul trucks
- Oversee and assist with the sortation of freight
- Direct activities of Watco Warehouse Associates as well as temporary labor
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
- High school education or general education development (GED).
- Prior supervisory experience
- Must be able to use a computer, telephone, and applicable computer software such as Microsoft Office
- Must be able to type on and read mobile device screens
- Must be able to use peripheral barcode scanning devices
- Must be able to stand for entire shift of 8+ hours
- Must be able to lift, carry, and push cartons weighing up to 70 pounds
- Must be able to work around moving machinery and equipment
Work Environment/Conditions
Work is performed in a warehouse environment with extensive team member and independent contractor contact and frequent interruptions. The team member is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
