Hourly pay: $20.00 - $27.00 based on experience 

 

 

Location Information

 

Watco moves any commodity, and at this site, we handle primarily bulk and breakbulk products such as coal, pet coke, and cement as well as liquid chemicals.

 

Purpose: 

 

  • Primary function of the Operator is to work with the team to comply with training provided to enable team member to perform in accordance with WTIS work instructions and government regulations (EPA, and OSHA). Liquid Products To/From Barges, Railcars and Trucks.  Daily inventory and paperwork. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

 

  • Operate in a manner where SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT are of the highest importance. 
  • Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence. 
  • Climb onto top and underneath railcars in order to inspect and seal railcars using a checklist. 
  • Work on barges to assist in hooking up product and steam lines.
  • Perform structural inspections as required. 
  • Prepare equipment for product transfer. 
  • Will be responsible for the operation as it relates to pipelines, compressors, auxiliary, equipment, engines, pump stations, pumps, valves and other related equipment. 
  • Start, stop, and operate engines/pumps within defined operating parameters. 
  • Complete all applicable documentation and recordkeeping. 
  • Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements: 

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent 
  • Ability to work outside majority of the time and withstand extreme weather conditions. 
  • Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance. 
  • Must be available for shift work when applicable, overtime when required and must be available to respond during working and non-working hours as required. 
  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction and follow work rules, as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed. 
  • Knowledge of company safety programs. 
  • Preferred experience, skills and knowledge, above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position.
