This is a seasonal position with the Agawa Canyon Tour Train
Description
The Park Maintenance Team Member is expected to work closely with customers and guests to create a clean and organized venue for visitors to enjoy their experience with Canyon Tour Train.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Patrol Park
- Cleaning sites, washrooms, and outhouses as needed
- Outside Maintenance such as lawn cutting, weed whacking, garbage and recycling.
- Assist with Training and De-Training passengers
- Ensuring all Passengers make their way back to the train and no one is left behind.
- Able to comply with all company policies and regulations.
- Assist Passengers of Tour Train and Guests of Park
- Ability to operate a variety of different park maintenance equipment such as small tractor, riding lawn mower, atv etc.
- Able to provide general maintenance and troubleshoot issues with equipment.
- General construction hand and power tool use.
- Basic carpentry and building experience.
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions.

SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Shows a willingness to learn, demonstrated initiative, and ability to make decisions based on sound judgment.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a Team
- High school education or general education (GED) or 3 to 6 months job-related experience; or equivalent of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

- 10 hour shift
- Holidays
- Weekend availability
- 8 days on, 6 days off
- Team Members will depart from the Station in Sault Ste. Marie and will be staying in the park for the duration of their 8 day shift.
Pay/Salary
- Hourly Rate – $25.00 - 28.00 CAD DOE
