Position Summary

 

The Supply Chain Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operational development and execution of the truck and driver brokers and team leads in the management of facilities.  This position has broad responsibilities including operational execution, sales, customer development, RFP / RFI and customer spot pricing, carrier price negotiation, carrier development, other duties as assigned to support branch growth.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

 

  • Maintain/prepare spreadsheets and send assignments/updates to shippers as needed
  • Meet all customer compliance requirements including LOS, lane compliance, communication timeframe, etc.
  • Build and maintain relationships with WM contacts, carriers and team
  • Manage facilities, communicate with onsite customers on all daily operational needs/services
  • Coordinate shipments from dedicated facilities from the time the load is accepted to delivery
  • Build loads, rate loads, and update TMS accordingly.
  • Monitor loads and update accordingly, update vendor/Walmart when necessary.
  • Rate Agreements, rate negotiations
  • Additionally, weekend support is sometimes needed to service the customer appropriately.
  • Weekly meetings with the customers
  • Carrier Procurement when needed.
  • Report directly to the account specific Team lead, and aide in any direction the Team Lead sees a need for assistance.

 

 

Requirements

 

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong organization, communication, and time management skills
  • Possess basic computer skills- Microsoft Excel, Word
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Ability to work with others and be a positive influence on co-workers
  • Strong phone and email communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task despite frequent interruptions
  • Problem resolution skills

 

Reasoning Ability


Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Work Environment and Conditions

 

  • Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with extensive team member and supplier contact and frequent interruptions.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent must be able to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms as well as speak, hear and see clearly.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.  The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
