General Purpose
The primary function of the Utility Operator is to assist the Team in safely and effectively performing all required duties/tasks by maintaining all mechanical operations at the facility.

 

Location Information

Located in northwest North Dakota, our Tioga Terminal handles the loading of crude oil and natural gas into rail tanker cars.

 

Job Description

 

  • Perform site equipment, tanks, fire suppression, security, and other inspections as required
  • Access the top and underside of equipment for inspection and maintenance.
  • Perform maintenance on all mobile equipment as needed (payloader, skid steer, mowers, weed eaters, blowers, etc).
  • Minor electrical troubleshooting, transmitter, and PLC knowledge a plus but not required.
  • Experience analyzing and troubleshooting valves, pumps, VCU, and MOV's

  • Will be responsible for the operations as it relates to tank management from pipelines to loading at the rail terminal and all facility operations
  • Complete all applicable documentation and record-keeping.

  • Perform all work in compliance with Company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Building/grounds maintenance to include lighting, mowing, snow removal, and assisting with janitorial needs.

  • Must maintain regular, dependable attendance and a high level of performance
  • Follow written and verbal directions to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
  • Read, write, and communicate in English & understand basic math.
  • Working knowledge of Watco Safety and Operating principles
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds alone, twist, climb. Must be able to talk and hear well enough to communicate with all team members, vendors, and customers 100% of the time
  • Participate in safety briefings, job briefings, and any other pass-on information from team members, management or customers.

  • Operate in a manner where SAFETY and ENVIRONMENT are of the highest importance.
  • Ability to work outside and withstand extreme weather conditions.

  • Must be able to work with a team, take direction, and follow work rules, as well as take on additional job responsibilities as needed or assigned.
  • Flexibility required; ability to work days, nights, weekends

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license preferred
