Watco is looking for a Transportation Administrator that will report to the General Manager and assist with new-hire onboarding, payroll validation, travel scheduling, procurement of supplies, and other duties as assigned.

 

Job description:

 

  • Onboarding new hires.
  • Purchasing/stocking office supplies.
  • Audits.
  • Kronos/timekeeping files.
  • Scheduling Hearing/vision roster.
  • Scheduling physicals, drug screening and new hire information.
  • Coordinates traveling and hotel arrangements for ground school, etc.
  • Filing and recording of DOT driver files and vehicle registrations/tags. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures
  • Previous railroad experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
  • Hands on experience with office machines (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
  • High School degree or GED.
